With Panda update, Google made it almost clear that they are going to provide only quality search result for their users. So in this process low quality websites are getting filtered out by Google and ranking of these sites are going down significantly on SERP. This in turn is going to affect the traffic rate of these sites. So at this juncture, it is important for sites which still have not been through this filtering process, to get upgraded in accordance with Google’s new criteria of judging quality sites.

 

If we properly analyze the sites which have been affected by Google panda then it would become easier for us to understand that how this effect is taking place. Google is aiming for low quality sites; sites that have duplicate, poor quality content of no real value. These sites are poorly designed and are mostly full of advertisements and low quality backlinks. On the other hand sites having unique useful quality content have benefited from Panda effect as their ranking improved on SERP. So it is quite clear that to maintain your site’s high ranking or to improve your ranking you need to make sure that your site is of high quality. Content:
Content has become the most vital part of your SEO campaign after Panda update. Make sure that the content of your site is of high quality, unique, original, useful, error free and updated. People coming to your site must be able to find information which they could utilize. Also make sure that you keep posting fresh and updated content on a regular basis. If your site have any duplicate or poor content then change the content.

 

Link Building:
Link building is another aspect that you need to pay attention to. Do not take any low quality links if you already have low quality links try to remove them. Only take links from relevant high quality authority sites. Only aim for high quality backlinks now.

 

Design Layout:
Your web pages should not be cramped with advertisements. Also pay attention to your site design. A well designed site which is easy for the users to move around will have a positive impact not only on the traffic but also on Google. Another important factor is to maintain even quality of all your web pages. There should be a balance; each part of your site should be equally good.

 

Social Media Performance:
Use social media platforms as much as possible. Post updated write ups, videos, photos to your social media profiles and keep your followers informed of these posts. This way your traffic will increase and this might have a positive impact on SERP.

    Google has taken the right decision; the way low quality sites were mushrooming, that getting access to the ones that have some substance was becoming difficult. Hopefully this filtering process would, remove spammy sites. Sites with duplicate content should be banned.

    Improving the content has become essential. I think most web users at some point in time, have entered sites that have absolutely trashy content; users should have access to quality content; sites need to work their overall performance; sites that have been active on social networking sites, would earn brownie points now from Google.
